Do you have an Oracle database? Then switching to Microsoft SQL Server is certainly worth investigating. And if you also have the Power BI reporting tool, you have a powerful combination. This makes MS SQL Server an extra good choice as a data platform for your IBM MAS environment. Do you prefer to keep your asset management data within your company&#8217;s walls? Then you can opt for IBM DB2. The only thing is that it usually involves huge data volumes. Many IBM Maximo databases have taken on considerable proportions over the years. For example, we are currently working for a customer to migrate a database with hundreds of tables, each containing millions of items, together accounting for approximately 10 gigabytes of data. The enormous volumes involved in an IBM Maximo data migration are also no problem. The toolset automatically converts Oracle queries to SQL or DB2 queries. If something goes wrong during the transfer, the data comes back with an error message and is intercepted by filters. These filters clean the data before it is transferred again.
