The point principle is not entirely new. At the end of 2018, IBM introduced a licensing system with IBM Maximo Tokens. You could use this from IBM Maximo 7.6.1. When a user logs into the software, a number of points are taken from the pool of available points. When logging out, the points go back into the pool. The number of points depends on the role of the user and the associated rights. For example, an administrator requires more points than a basic user. Incidentally, self-service remains free, just as you are used to.
