Inspiration workshop AI in asset management: what are your use cases?
In a previous blog, we already gave you some ideas for the deployment of AI within asset management. But in which applications does the added value lie for your organization? We will delve into this together during an Inspiration workshop AI: how does AI solve the issues you face daily in your asset management?
Getting your AI use cases sharp together
Our toolbox with AI tools is already well-stocked with the AI functionality of IBM Maximo Application Suite (IBM MAS), IBM Cognos and Watsonx. With this, we can go in all directions to support your asset management. The question, of course, is what your organization needs. Where are the bottlenecks or points for improvement in your asset management processes that can be solved with AI? We would like to discuss this with you during an Inspiration workshop AI: a day or afternoon together to get to the bottom of your use cases for AI. For inspiration, here are some examples in this blog.
AI within your maintenance processes
For example, AI helps you improve your maintenance processes:
- Smart planning
The planning of your maintenance is a complex puzzle. With AI, you deploy the right people for your maintenance work: planning and allocation is automatic, based on availability and requested deployment. - Accelerate workflows
Which checks in your workflows are really necessary and which can be removed? For example, if the purchase of a piece of equipment under a certain price is always approved, it should not impede the progress of a workflow. AI gives you advice on streamlining your workflows. - Handle work orders correctly
Suppose a mechanic is working on processing a work order in your asset management system. AI makes suggestions for each step. For example, for the problem code to be entered. And which fields should certainly not be left blank? - Ask questions in natural language
How many of these pumps do we have? When were they last serviced? And what problems were identified then? With a smart chatbot, you can simply ask and have all the information in one place. - Translate information automatically
With maintenance technicians in different countries, it is useful to have important work information available in local languages. - Optimize maintenance
The condition of your assets is monitored with various sensors. Based on the collected sensor data, AI makes suggestions: what preventive maintenance is needed and when to keep the assets in optimal condition?
Inspect assets remotely
Difficult to reach assets? AI analyzes the images taken by remotely controlled drones and gives you maintenance advice.
AI within your maintenance reporting
For example, AI helps you to better utilize your asset management data:
- Get more insights from your data
You request a report of the problem codes of a machine over the past year. Wouldn’t it be useful to also see a top 10 of the most common errors of this type of machine? AI responds to your information needs and helps you sharpen and deepen your search queries. - Visualize data in the best way
How do you make important data about your assets as clear as possible? AI comes up with suggestions for the clearest representation. Still not what you want? You change it with a mouse click. - Improve your data quality
How good is the quality of your static data? And what about the registration of data about your assets? What is often forgotten? AI checks the quality of your asset data and gives advice for better registration. Which fields, for example, should your people be required to fill in?
It is possible today!
There are many more possibilities to consider for the deployment of AI within your asset management. And that is not a pipe dream, but already achievable today. Let’s get together to come up with use cases for your organization. So that you make the maintenance of your assets smarter and maximally support your people with AI, from your maintenance managers and work planners to your technicians in the field.
