New in IBM Maximo Application Suite 8.10: five useful extensions
What does IBM Maximo Application Suite 8.10 have to offer you? In this blog you will find five useful extensions of this latest version of IBM MAS – from integrated reporting capabilities and mobile use to an operational dashboard with the same look & feel on every device.
1. Integration with IBM Cognos reporting for all of IBM MAS
With IBM Cognos you can analyze all kinds of data about your assets and maintenance activities and create visual reports that give you insight into your maintenance management at a glance. We wrote about this earlier in a blog about visual reporting with IBM Maximo. IBM MAS 8.10 now offers full integration with this powerful BI tool: you can not only use IBM Cognos for analysis and reporting directly from IBM MAS Manage, but from now on from all parts of IBM MAS.
2. Integration with IBM Envizi for sustainability reporting (CSRD)
Within the foreseeable future, many Dutch organizations will have to report on sustainability. The European Union has drawn up the Corporate Sustainability Directive (CSRD) for this purpose. In an earlier blog, we already showed how you can use data from IBM Maximo to create the mandatory sustainability report. IBM Envizi is an important tool in this regard. This is a solution specifically for reporting data related to the environment, people and governance. From IBM MAS you send this data directly to IBM Envizi via the IBM MAS Connector. This API is now available with IBM MAS 8.10.
3. Conduct visual inspections from IBM MAS Mobile
Performing mobile visual inspections was of course already possible. But with IBM MAS 8.10 you can now do this within one integrated inspection workflow. Instead of via a separate app, your field service technicians can perform visual inspections directly from IBM MAS Mobile. All inspection data is clearly arranged together, for even easier follow-up.
4. Receipt registration with IBM MAS Mobile
Is a shipment of parts coming in? Then it is useful if your warehouse employees can record the receipt on their mobile devices. This is now also possible with IBM MAS 8.10. It is no longer necessary to first walk to a fixed terminal: with IBM MAS Mobile, registration can simply be done on a tablet or other mobile device.
5. Operational dashboard: accessible and insightful
IBM MAS 8.10 has a useful operational dashboard, a kind of landing page from which you can do all sorts of things. This ranges from viewing KPIs to creating work orders. This dashboard has the same IBM MAS look & feel, whether you view it on a tablet or a desktop computer. Moreover, you are no longer stuck with a standard layout. For example, you can determine the column layout and sorting of your work orders yourself. This way you have insight into your maintenance data as you want it.
