The Gemba customer portal: an extra route to our service desk

Want to report an incident, submit a service request or check the latest status when it suits you? You can now do that through the Gemba customer portal. You enter all the information yourself and you can see what Gemba is doing with your report. Prefer to call or email? That is still perfectly possible, of course.

Report issues when it suits you

Do you need support for IBM Maximo Application Suite or another solution that Gemba manages for you? Through the customer portal, you can report an incident yourself or submit a service request to our service desk. You can do this at any time, so you’re not limited to business hours to properly document your report. For urgent incidents outside of business hours, our on-call service remains available.

Add information to your incident straight away

A good analysis starts with clear information. In the Gemba customer portal you describe there and then what is going on: for example which error message a user sees, in which environment the problem occurs and which steps led up to it. As a functional administrator you can also add extra findings.

All information goes straight to Gemba and stays linked to that incident. Want to add something later? You do that in the same report. That way information does not get scattered across different emails.

Track the status of your incident in the customer portal

Once you have submitted a report, you no longer need to search your inbox for the latest update. In the customer portal you see an up-to-date overview of your incidents and service requests. For each report you can click through to the status, the details and Gemba’s response.

The portal therefore gives you continuous insight into the operational process. It does not replace the existing SLA reporting. If you have a managed services contract, you will still receive your monthly or periodic report. The up-to-date overview in the customer portal sits alongside that.

Next step: requesting changes as well

At the moment you use the Gemba customer portal for incidents and service requests. The next step is to add changes. That means you will also be able to request and track changes through the portal in future.

We will let you know as soon as this functionality is available. We continue to develop the portal step by step and use feedback from our customers to decide which improvements add the most value.

How to get access to the Gemba customer portal

The Gemba customer portal is already in use with several customers. Every Gemba customer can get access.

How we set that access up depends on your organisation and the way you work. For example, does only your functional administrator use the portal? Or does your organisation have a larger internal service desk and does it need to be available to more users? Together we decide which set-up fits best.
