Gemba wins IBM Cognitive Solutions Award 2018
AMSTERDAM – On Thursday the 16th of May managing director Jack Lok of Enterprise Asset Management and IoT specialist Gemba Service BV received the Cognitive Solutions Award from Sander Slingerland and Joost Lemmen of IBM. The award was issued during the festive Night of the Stars IBM Partner Awards 2018. Gemba was also nominated in the category NextGen Ecosystem.
Gemba received the Cognitive Solutions Award as most successful partner for IBM Watson IoT. The award winner was praised for the innovations used at projects such as cathodic protection of underground infrastructures and track & trace of barges in the Port of Rotterdam. In addition, Gemba has been actively involved in the development of the IBM Watson IoT platform and IoT Ecosystem in The Netherlands. This has generated many collaborations, among others with innovation platform iTanks, IoT hardware specialist TWTG and Core-Vision, IOT Company and Port of Insight of Port of Rotterdam.
The nomination in the category NextGen Ecosystem is a result from the progressive development in Industrial IoT and data analytics during 2018. Gemba strengthens this development further with the autonomisation of the Gemba IoT department and the simultaneous merger with mobile app developer Appedemic on April 1st 2019. The new organization focuses solely on innovations regarding IoT, mobile apps and data analytics.
Gemba IoT and Gemba Services want to support and strengthen each other in terms of among other Asset Performance Management, Predictive Maintenance and Mobile App development. Gemba Service BV is an IBM Gold Partner.
